Rachel Amber is a friend of Chloe and the "Missing Person", which can be found on numerous posters which Chloe had put up all over campus. Rachel vanished about six months ago. In her diary, Max wrote down some assumptions, including the question about who took the picture. She later will find out that it was Chloe, who produced the poster and spread it around the academy. Max can also find the original image, showing both Chloe and Amber together. When Chloe brings Max to her house, she tells her that Amber and she had plans to leave Arcadia Bay and that Amber wanted to become a model.
Max also can find out more about Amber, if she asks the students on campus, after the scene in the girls' lavatory. According to Hayden, Amber often hung out with the members of the Vortex Club. Stella reveals that there probably was some hanky panky going on with teacher Mark Jefferson. When Evan gives Max a sneak peek at his portfolio, there are photographs of Amber, posing. Daniel loved to draw her and calls her his "muse". Janitor Samuel also knew Amber, but his answer drifts off into some mysterious babble. And Justin, with his skateboard crew, uncovers that Amber often liked to skate with the boys, together with her tattooed, blue haired punk friend, whose name he just can't remember.
When Max has made it to her room in the dorm, she can find one of the "Missing Person" posters in Victoria's room. Victoria has obviously vandalised the poster. In the closing sequence of the game, players can see Victoria again, and how she angrily rips posters from a notice board.

Rachel in Life is Strange: Before the Storm[]
Rachel is a fellow student of Chloe, who'll suddenly be saved by her at a wild party in the Old Sawmill. In the first episode Awake, the players will learn more about Rachel. She's about to star in a Drama Club play of "The Tempest", where she'll play as "Prospera" along with fellow students Hayden Jones (Ferdinand) and Dana Ward (Miranda).
